CJ Beaders is now part of the Bracken Beads Limited family (company number 17261733), and we wanted to let you know what this means for your personal data. The short answer is: very little changes. The team, the service, and the products you know are all staying the same.

A little background

Bracken Beads Limited acquired the CJ Beaders business and its assets from Wholesale Beads Limited and now trades as CJ Beaders. As part of that move, personal data held in connection with the business was transferred to Bracken Beads Limited, which is now the data controller for that data. Wholesale Beads Limited may retain some data separately for its own legal or accounting purposes.

What data was transferred and why

Depending on your relationship with the business, the data transferred may include your name, contact details, order and account history, communication history, and marketing preferences. We do not hold credit or debit card details - these are held by our payment processor, PayPal.

We use this data to continue running the business – fulfilling orders, looking after customer relationships, and keeping in touch with you – and we will only do so where we have a lawful basis under UK data protection law. In most cases, this is because the processing is necessary to fulfil our contract with you or because we have a legitimate interest in continuing to operate the business. For marketing, we rely on your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
